"Dylan?" Chloe says, confused. "Oh god," I say bluntly. "Dylan, I thought you went home!" says Mali. Chloe and I immediately turn to him. "Don't tell me he's..." Chloe started. "My dad," says Dylan finishing the sentence. He rushes over. Mali has a kid? Things just got interesting. They start talking to each other. I'm surprised Dylan reacts like this when I'm clearly shoving a gun in his dad's face. "Chloe," I whisper-hiss. She turns my way. "What?" she whispers. "Take Dylan with you. I'll meet you back at the apartment later," I whisper back. "Ok. Jade, let's go," she whispers to Jade. Jade nodded. She then takes action. Jade punches Dylan unconscious while Chloe hauls him to the motorcycle. She places a helmet on his head. It was a bit funny watching Chloe struggle since Dylan was heavy. They drive off. I feel movement from underneath my gun. "You're not going anywhere," I said pushing Mali back to his original position. "Please. My son. I need him," he says pausing in between, taking in a cold breath of reality. "One month," I say and walk to my motorcycle. When I turn around, he is wearing a puzzled look on his face. "To find the information, idiot" With that, I drive off. I don't bother to check if he's tailing me. Right now there's only one thing in my mind. What was Dylan doing at Dominant Alley in the first place? I finally reached the apartment and go inside. I fetch the keys from my belt and open the door. Dylan had regained consciousness and Chloe was bombarding him with questions. He clearly wasn't responding. No one noticed that I had walked in. "What were you doing in Dominant Alley?" I asked Dylan as I come over and flick him on the head. Immediately, he places his hands over it. "Ouch, what was that for?" he whined. "For following us," I reply. "Ok, fine. I do admit I was following you, happy?" he takes his hands off and glares at me. This has no effect. He tried. "That still doesn't explain why, stupid," I say as I smirk. "I'm not stupid! I followed you to make sure you guys don't get in to anymore trouble!" he argues. "Give us the REAL reason," I say as I sigh. He's not spilling. "I guess we can't let him go," Chloe says, joining our conversation. I nod my head. "Just tell us and we'll let you go," I lie. "Promise?" he looks at us intensely. "Promise," I reply with a poker face. Can't let him know how funny it is to watch him fall hard for my lie. I catch a glimpse and Chloe. No. Way. Dylan was about to speak but I grabbed Chloe and lead her in to a room. "Chloe!" I hiss. She immediately bursts in to laughter. "I'm sorry! It's funny because he fell for our lie!" she replies. I put my hand over her mouth. "Shh...you don't want to let him know," I said, angrily. "Ok, ok. I'll stop, I'll stop," she says in a muffled voice. I take back my hand, wipe her disgusting spit on my pants and push her in to the living room. Dylan was lost in his thoughts. He's probably thinking about what to say.
I wave a hand in front of him. He comes back in to the world. "Thought of a lie yet?" I ask. "Why would I lie?" he snapped back. From the corner of my eye, I saw Chloe flinch. She was trying her best to hold it in. "We need the answer, NOW," I demand harshly. "SPILL," Chloe demands, pulling off the 'tough' act. "Prepare for a long story," he inhales a big breath before continuing. "After I bumped in to you, Monica mentioned your name. The name sounded familiar, but I just ignored it so I went home. Just to make sure, I went inside my dad's-Mali's study room. Right on top of his desk, there were three files-each one containing all of your names. In big, red letters there was 'Unlucky Cats' scribbled on top of them. There was also a sticky note with 'Dominant Alley, 3:30' which was half an hour after school ended. From there, I took my bike and sped to Dominant Alley. Thank god I arrived on time" Chloe and I stood in silence to process the information. "Jade," I call. "Tell me if this is true" She nods her head. She then puts up three fingers and goes straight on to the computer. Ok, so it will take Jade three hours to break through Mali's office surveillance camera. "What is she going to do?" Dylan asks. "You're telling me that in about ten minutes, you made it to Dominant Alley?" I ask, completely ignoring his question. "Yeah! I work out!" he says as if I offended him. Chloe snorted. "What's so funny?" he asks. "There's no way you could've made it on time unless your house is close to Dominant Alley," she says before bursting in to laughter. "She has a point there," I say, waiting for his response. Jade put her hand up, signalling to us that she found something. "What did you find?" Chloe asks, switiching her attention to Jade. She took a sticky note and wrote something down. I examined it. It said '47 Bethesda Street'. "That's the street about seven minutes away from Dominant Alley," I say. We all look at Dylan. "Is that your address?" Chloe asks, breaking the moment of silence.
He took a breath. "Yes," he replies. "Now we know Mali's address! We made some progress!" says Chloe excitedly. Her excitement disgusted me. We still have a long way to go, idiot. "I don't know about you, but I'm hungry. What's for dinner?" Dylan asks calmly. "Oh? So you're not scared by the fact that we just kidnapped you?" I ask him, pointing out his reality. "Nah, you can't do anything to me anyways," he responds. "I wouldn't be so sure about that," I reply. I quickly grab his hand and twist it behind his back. "Let me go! I'm hungry, that's all!" he exclaims as he struggles to break free. "Now you know we can do anything to you anytime, anywhere," I let go and turn to Chloe. "Chloe, it's your turn to cook today" Immediately Jade turns around with pleading eyes. She shakes her head. That's when I realize what I just said. Oh god, Chloe's cooking. "What's wrong?" Chloe asks, watching us. "You're cooking, you know what that means," I reply bluntly. She straight-away catches on. "I don't think my cooking's THAT bad," she replies innocently. I smirk. "It's way worse than that," I say. With that, she walks in to the kitchen and starts the chaos. I can tell she's angry. "Is Chloe's cooking that bad?" Dylan asks. I nod my head and go to my room. I need some peace and quiet.
"So am I ever going home?" he asks.
"Nope," I reply before closing the door. …………………………………………..…………………………………………..…………………………………………..………………………………… I wake up to find that Chloe's shaking my arm off. I sit up. "Quit it!" I say as I jerk my hand to the side. "Jade found something!" she exclaims, excitedly. "What? That Dylan lied?" I reply sleeply. I clearly wanted to sleep more. "No, something way more interesting!" she says and she pulls me off the bed and drags me towards Jade. I yawn. Jade pulls me towards the computer screen. It was the security camera of Mali's office. The files were there. "Ok, I can see that," I say, she knows that I don't like being disturbed from my naps. Jade pulls up statistics of the house. Then she points to the number of rooms in the house. My eyes finally snap open. "More of him?" I say as I point to Dylan.
