It was a guard dog.
I had to think fast. Before it could bark, I threw a twig directly in to its mouth. While it was trying to get it out, Jade and I made a narrow escape. We flung ourselves over the fence, landing with a soft thump, balancing perfectly.
The second we land, we hear the bodyguards behind us trying to calm the dog down. I signal Jade for us to keep going.
"Come in, Chloe," I speak in to the microphone of the ear piece.
"Got it. Where are you know? Over," she replies, but her voice cracks.
"At the east side of the garden, over," I say.
"Ok. Look up. That bedroom there is Ivan's. Jade should go in there. The one to the right is Ryan's. Sonia, you should go there, over," she explains.
"Ok, we're heading there now. Tell us if there's anyone near the door, over," I say.
I nod to Jade and we separate.
I reach Ryan's bedroom. There was a window ledge approximately twenty feet from the bottom. The window leads to Ryan's room. I try wall climbing, but the surface was too flat to let me.
Improvise.
I feel my belt for anything useful. Just my swords and my guns were with me. I scan the floor. A rock.
If I can't reach him, he'll reach me.
I grab the rock and throw it as hard as I can at the window.
He's asleep.
I quietly take out my swords and stab them in to the brick. This made handles for me to climb up to the window.
It was all going great until someone decided to open their window.
"Who was that?" a voice said. It was a male voice. "Who thew the rock?"
I stay still. My black hoodie was perfect camouflage for tonight.
"Whatever. Must be a prank," he gives up and yawns.
I continue climbing.
Wow, such a careful man. He even left his window open.
I jump in to his room. A pillow hits me straight in the face.
"Don't act as if I didn't see you," he says.
It was a boy with deep blue eyes and light brown hair. His hair could pass as dirty blonde.
"That's Ryan, over," my earpiece suddenly turns on.
His attention immediately diverts to it.
"Who's that? Your friend?" he asks as he comes over casually.
I push him on to the floor and pull out my shotgun since my swords were outside.
"You coming?" I say coldly.
"Where?" he asks. He pushes my shotgun away. "If you need me, you won't kill me"
Annoying.
I withdraw my shotgun.
"You don't have a choice. I'm taking you," I say.
"In fact, I do," he says. He grabs my arm and twists it.
I somehow end up underneath Ryan's bed. The only thing I remember is Ryan pushing me here.
"Chloe, come in," I whisper in to my microphone.
"Sorry, Sonia. Dylan's throwing up. Was my soup really that bad? Over," she replies.
"Stupid! I'm now stuck here and can't move since I have three bodyguards that just walked in to Ryan's room, over," I whisper, angrily.
"Sorry! Over," she exclaims.
"Too late now, I'll deal with this myself," I reply.
Suddenly, a book slides next to me.
"Hey there!" a head pops out of no where. "Looks like you're stuck"
"I'm not stuck. I can leave at any time," I whisper.
"Sure," Ryan replies sarcastically.
I hate this guy.
"I can if I want to," I hiss.
"Prove it," he says, sneakily.
"Watch me if you can," I reply.
I come out from underneath the bed and move towards the window as fast as the wind. The guards immediately draw their guns. I pop my head in to the window.
"Wanna play tag?" I ask, childishly.
They go after me like a cat chasing a mouse. I turn abruptly. Two of the guards lounge at me. I stab them brutally as they come running towards me. A quick but, messy death. The sweet, beautiful red colour designed my sweater. I enjoyed the look of it before going back to game mode. The last one staggered in his steps. He was clearly frightened.
"Who are you?" he asks, nervously.
"None of your business," I reply.
I kill him in one slash. He was easy. As I walk back to the house, I wipe my face with blood. It was good to come back.
"Looks like I won, again," I say with my self esteem rising.
I climb back up to Ryan's room.
"Saw that, loser?" I tease him.
"What? That lame trick?" he replies as if he saw nothing.
This guy.
I tackle him on to the floor and wrestle him. As usual, I came out the winner.
"You still not scared?" I ask him with a deadly tone.
"Why would I be scared? I'm coming with you anyways. I wanna get outta this dump," he says. With that he pushes me off of him. "When we going to
go?"
We were about to leave that's when Chloe's voice come cracking in.
"Sonia, someone's heading your way. You have to get out of there, now. Over," she says with a worried tone.
"Who is it? Over," I reply.
"GO, GO, GO!"she screams and my eardrum explodes.
"What's going on?" Ryan looks at me with a confused face.
That's when the doorknob turns.
